Project details
Considering the increase in energy needs for the Harculo - Zwolle Sekdoorn high voltage connection, customer assessed this connection as not being sufficiently future-proof. The existing conductors in the eight present circuits were replaced by High Temperature Conductors. This new product, which was used for the very first time in the Netherlands during htis project, allows for transporting more energy with the same connection. The high voltage connection also crosses two railroads, for which A.Hak built temporary special facilities.

High Temperature Conductor
Regular conductors expand more if heated due to a larger energy transport, causing the problem that they hang too deep. A High Temperature Conductor is much less prone to this problem of heat development, eliminating this problem to a large extent. The supplier of these conductors provided a training for the assembly, in which TenneT TSO and A.Hak Electron jointly learned how to work with this product.
